Getting a Shared Room Rate: Do you want to save on room cost by sharing a hotel room with another participant? The easiest way to do this is to find a friend or colleague who may want to attend the training, and register with them. If you don’t already know someone, the Boulder Inn has kindly offered to match people from our training who ask to share a room. Contact the manager directly at Ari Rubin <ari (at sign) boulderinn (dot) com> after you’ve made your reservation and he’ll match you with anyone he knows of who is interested in a room share.

2. Boulder Outlook Hotel, 800 28th St. Boulder, CO 303-443-3322
AAA 2-diamond rating. (Right next door to our Boulder Inn training site) http://www.hotelsone.com/boulder-hotels-us/boulder-outlook-hotel-suites.html
Boulder Outlook Hotel doesn’t always update their website accurately, so if you want to be sure about their availability and rates, we suggest calling them.

Alternative accommodations: If you search online, you can find many alternate accommodations in Boulder, including some short-term condo or room rentals where you can cook your own food. You would need to rent a car for most of these options in order to travel to the training site.  Check on driving time (or walking distance) to the training site before making a commitment.

www.airbnb.com is a website specializing in connecting homeowners with visitors to a city. You can specify the kind of accommodations you are looking for, and often get a lower price than hotel rates. There are some protections on the airbnb site, (such as satisfaction ratings from previous renters), but with this kind of thing there is always a small risk of some sort of fraud. We have not used this site ourselves so don’t have personal experience with how it works.

Craig’s list: housing, is an online resource where you can search for housing listings, or post a request. Look on Boulder Craigs list: housing. Notice that this link is to the larger “all housing” category. To narrow your search you can click on the drop-down menu for subcategories, such as “rooms and shares,” “vacation rentals,” etc., and you can also post a request under any of these categories. When using Craig’s list, while most listings are authentic, one needs to be aware of the possibility of spammers. Craigs list posts some advice for spotting this, and of course don’t give out your credit card information to anyone you don’t know.
